Abstract

An interpersonal relationship is a particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealings with each other. In the study it refers to peers social relationships, interactions and working in teams. Interpersonal relationships of employees were studied against retention of employees in private hospitals in South Rift Region in Kenya. Employee retention is the maintenance of high performing employees that an organization wants in order to continue achieving its organizational goals , whilst accepting that some will leave. The study hypothesized that; interaction services, opportunities for fun, work schedules, cordial relationship, and communication equipment, working in teams and networking services influence retention of employees in Private hospitals in South Rift Region in Kenya.
